Atkinson Town Pool in Sudbury will be hosting a swim-athon on Sunday 3/20/2005, prior to our Meet. The plan-of-record is for a 6pm start-time, with Wayland's warm-up scheduled from 5:24pm to 5:34pm. Swimmers need to arrive no earlier than 4pm, (but not much later than 4pm, either!) because we intend to push-up the start-time and warm-up times, if the swim-athon finishes early.

The entire meet will last about 4.5 hours, however we will be scheduling the 6-and-under events to take place at the front-end of the event, so they can get home.

Parents, please confirm your swimmer's participation with the coaches, by end-of-practice tomorrow 3/15/2005, because the coaches need time to recompute the event and lane assignments based upon the larger number of lanes.

Swimmers, make sure you get Monday's homework done before the Meet (bring it with you, if necessary).

Championship T-shirts will be on sale at the Meet for $10

Programs will be be on-sale. Bring a highligher to mark our swimmers' events

Check our website before departing, "just in case" of last minute changes

VOLUNTEERS ON DECK -- only sandals or bare feet are allowed -- no shoes

We need parent VOLUNTEERs, as follows:

• 4 Timer with stop-watch
• 1 Stroke and Turn Judge
• Wayland will run the Bull Pen (welcome back, Suzanne Devlin)
• 1 Ribbon Labeler (if you want to share this I'm sure it's fine)
• Male and Female Age Group Coordinators to bring swimmers from the gym, through the locker-rooms and onto the deck

All 25 yard events will start at the opposite end of the pool away from the blocks.   9 and 10 IM and relays will start off the side of the blocks, to be consistent with the rest of the events.   Other events will start off the blocks.   Timers will remain at the starting block end of the pool.

Awards ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday 3/23/2005 at Wayland Middle School Cafetorium
